7 days in the Masai Mara
The Masai Mara National Reserve is an unspoilt wilderness area in southwestern Kenya along the border with Tanzania. The Masai Mara is a 1510 km² reserve belonging to the Masai people.
It is home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, hippos, etc. The landscape, made up of grassy plains and hills, is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.
Safari program
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
The Maasai Mara is probably one of the most famous reserves in Kenya and perhaps in all of Africa. This reserve, which belongs to the Maasai people, covers 1,510 km². The Maasai Mara is particularly renowned for the wildebeest (and zebra) migration in July, August, and September. These animals, which spend a large part of the year in Tanzania, migrate during this period to find suitable food. The Maasai Mara is home to a high concentration of animals: giraffes, elephants, baboons, lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and more.
Early morning departure for the Maasai Mara with breakfast en route. Check-in at the camp followed by lunch. Safari departs until the reserve closes. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp, lulled to sleep by the sounds of the animals.
Days 2, 3 and 4: Maasai Mara
Departure on a morning safari with breakfast in the savannah. Return to camp for lunch. Departure on an afternoon safari until the reserve closes. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp, lulled to sleep by the sounds of the animals.
Day 5: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Early morning safari departure. Breakfast in the savanna before continuing the journey to Nairobi in the late morning. Airport drop-off.
